Mainstream Drought - Suburban Doubt (M.D.S.D.) Radio is a musical zeitgeist capturing of Fullerton, CA. Out on the outskirts of Orange County, and not quite Los Angeles, Fullerton lies in a strange limbo of mixed up suburban culture. Recently with the boom of communication technology, mainstream media has less of a grip over what’s hip with Fullerton’s college audience—hence the drought. This has lead to an explosion of culture allowing Fullerton to step out of shadow of its larger neighboring cities—erupting doubt suggesting that maybe the suburbs aren’t a dull and boring place after all. M.D.S.D. Radio is a reflection of this transition. Playing all variations of dance music from dance-punk, ‘blog-house’, electro, experimental, techno, disco, funk, new rave, electronica, indie-rock.
